Office Hours and Appointments
The center is open for appointments from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
On Tuesdays the clinic is open for extended hours which may be a convenience for you in scheduling your appointments.
Patients are seen by appointment. If you need to be seen and have not made an advance appointment, please call our office at 225-492-3775 and we will make every effort to work you into our schedule that day. We cannot guarantee an appointment for walk-in patients, although we will make every effort to get you scheduled.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call in advance to cancel and/or reschedule so that we see another patient during that appointment time. Please be mindful that when you miss your appointment and do not call you are blocking access to care by another patient.
Emergencies and After-Hours Care
Patients needing dental services after hours are instructed to call our answering service and talk with our clinic representative on call. In the event of a extreme emergency, patients are advised to utilize the services of the nearest medical acute care facility.
Fees and Payment Policies
The dental clinic is not a free clinic.
However, individuals who are not insured through any type of program are expected to pay for services on a sliding scale fee schedule based on income. Completion of a “statement of income” is required for patients utilizing the sliding scale fee schedule. Otherwise the fee is at full charge.
For patients with private dental insurance, collection will be required at the time of service.
